What a fun way to spend the last holiday of summer, then with old and new friends biking around the Mississippi River Valley in and around La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Scouting out this Annual Labor Day Weekend Bicycle Festival last year we found a full schedule of city bike tours, scenic roads, a bike rodeo and evenings filled with entertainment in the downtown area. A great time, worth checking out for this holiday weekend!
The 16th Annual North Star Bicycle Festival (formerly the Nature Valley Bicycle Festival) will take place June 11-15, 2014 and will include the North Star Grand Prix pro stage bike race June 11-15 in Saint Paul, Cannon Falls, Minneapolis and Stillwater, Minn. and Menomonie, Wisc. In Menomonie the general public can get a taste of the pro bike routes by participating in the festival’s Gran Fondo or Spectator Rides. These race events are fun and inspirational for the whole family.

One of nine communities of the Twin Cities Gateway, it’s a perfect destination for a bike vacation. While visiting you will find many opportunities to bike the trails around eleven lakes with natural settings here.
