A fun Twin City mountain biking park ready for its second year

Are you looking for mountain bike trails with plenty of flow, berms, and jumps? You’ll find them at the new mountain biking trail system in Edina, MN. The trails that skirt the Braemar Park Golf Course are laid out in three segments along the park’s southwest, northwest, and east perimeters of the park.

The east and northwest sections were completed about a year ago, offering beginner and intermediate loops, with hiking trails around each section. The East segment consists of 2.6 miles of intermediate-to-advanced rated loops and jump lines. The northwest segment is shorter, less than 2 miles.

The south segment, the last section to be completed, brings this single-track system to nearly 8 miles of intermediate and advanced trails. View the detailed trail maps here.

The southwest and northwest segments are across the road (Braemar Boulevard) from each other. Parking is available in a lot adjacent to the southwest and northwest segment trailheads and in a lot near the east segment trailhead, right off of Hilary Lane. Trailhead parking is not permitted in the golf course lot.

Twin Cities-based contractor Pathfinder Trail Building, which built this singletrack for Edina, also built the popular Taft Bike Park in Richfield in 2024.

Then, according to Edina Park Planner Rachel Finberg. “Once complete, work will focus on removing the buckthorn and other invasive species to move to the next step, promoting and planting new habitat.”

The mountain bike trails are currently closed due to winter thaw. However, winter hiking is still open unless signs show closed. Check the Edina Park website for the latest information and maps.
