Wise Bike Wednesdays – ABC Quick Check Your Way to Fun

Wise Bike Wednesdays has a reminder,“Before You Go,” always remember your ABC’s:

A is for Air

B is for Brakes

C is for Cranks, Chain, and Cassette

Quick = is for quick release lever – make sure it’s tight!

Check = take a quick ride to check it all before you go on your next bike adventure!

With many students heading back to school this week biking is a great way to get some exercise, be green, and avoid the traffic and congestion of a long bus ride to school.

Whether you’re a parent getting your kids on their bike to get to school or someone who will be responsible for your own bike and adventure, it’s important to remember the key safety rules for biking.

Bike Pic Sept 6, Getting Airborne is a Mountain Bike High

Here in this photo a Penn Cycle Team Member found a sweet spot on the trail to get some elevation while testing his skills and having some fun. This photo was taken in early August at the Buck Hill Thursday Mountain Bike Races, near Lakeville, MN.

Bike Pic Sept 4, Another Beautiful Day on the Browns Creek Trail

Here in this photo a couple of cyclist enjoy the scenic Browns Creek Trail ride, up out of Stillwater, MN. The Browns Creek Trail connects to the Gateway Trail and makes it easily to ride your bike all the way to Downtown St. Paul and other trail systems in the Twin City Metro Area.

Bike Pic Sept 3, Another Great Biking Day to be Out Riding

Here in this Great Biking Day photo we caught a Penn Cycle team member making tracks on Buckhill, near Lakeville, MN, at the last Thursday Evening mountain bike event there for 2016.

Each year, since 2011, the Buckhill Thursday Night at the Races brings together beginner, intermediate and advanced mountain bikers for some fun times. This family friendly event is also a great opportunity to get the younger ones into mountain biking with a free kid’s race after the adult races.

Bike Pic Sept 2, One Last Major Bike Race or Holiday Before School

One last major bike race (holiday) before the school year, this photo was captured at the North Star Bicycle Festival that happens in Stiillwater, MN, each year. Supporting the Minnesota Special Olympics, the Bike Festival, sponsored by K’ul Chocolate, allows the whole family to have fun watching pro racers battle for position while fun kids races are scheduled in between heats.
