This year, the 2nd annual Chilkoot Gran Fondo is teaming up with the North Star Bicycle Festival for a ride and racing in Stillwater: Come for the Ride, stay for the Races.

The Ride
Cyclists of all abilities are invited to the beautiful St. Croix Valley to participate in the Second Annual Gran Fondo on Sunday, June 17, 2018. The event will begin and end at Stillwater Junior High School in Stillwater, MN. All proceeds will benefit youth cycling in the St. Croix River Valley.

The Courses
There are three adult rides of varying distances. All rides begin and end at the Stillwater Junior High School. The three ride options are approximately 20, 55, and 70 miles. The 20 and 55 mile routes are all on asphalt surfaces. The 70 mile route will numerous gravel sections. All routes are self-supported.
Participants are encouraged to begin between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., while those doing the 70 mile ride are encouraged to start at 7 a.m. Upon arrival, all riders should visit the registration tent to sign a waiver, receive a participation stamp, and pick up a course map. The Races
After the Gran Fondo, ride or walk the short ride downhill to downtown Stillwater to watch national riders compete in one of the toughest criteriums in the world. Park your bike in the free bike corral and enjoy the racing. Women’s race starts at 11:45 a.m. and Men’s race starts at 1:30 p.m. Leave your car at the Junior High and return after the races.
