When you're in Lino Lakes it can feel like you're smack dab in the middle of northern Minnesota, especially on Blue Heron Days, August 17-19. One of eight Twin Cities Gateway communities, Lino Lakes has the second largest Blue Heron rookery in the state. While visiting here you can pedal along many wide open roads to a vast trail system that passes through natural areas where you may see these birds.
