Save the date for the annual Minnesota Bike/Walk Summit

Advocating for people who bike and walk, on March 14th, is Minnesota’s Bike/Walk Summit, in St Paul. One of the most important events, the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) needs your help at the Bike/Walk Summit. If you live in Minnesota, your presence is requested to help educate the elected leaders about the State’s bicycling issues and pedestrian needs.

The MN Bike Walk Summit is an opportunity for bicyclists, pedestrians, transit, and active transportation advocates to discuss policy priorities with elected leaders and each other. This in-person event will focus on learning and lobbying for active transportation-related issues, so come prepared to engage in meaningful dialogue.

Leading on Funding, Policy and Programs for Active Transportation

BikeMN will provide examples and printed resources to guide attendees on engaging with congressional representatives, ensuring a productive outcome that supports our legislative agenda for a greener, healthier Minnesota.

About the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota from their website

“We see a future where all people experience safety: traffic safety, freedom from community violence, enforcement strategies that are equitable and support walking, biking, and rolling.

The culture of getting around values walking, bicycling, rolling, and riding transit by default instead of defaulting to cars.

People of color, especially Black and Indigenous communities, have access to vital daily movements.

Engaged, diverse voices advocate for better bike and walk policies and infrastructure in their communities.

Rural, urban, and suburban communities thrive due to connected routes that support all ages and abilities.

Biking and walking are critical climate mitigation strategies to sustain a healthy planet and community”.
