Testimonials from tour participants

“The ride was so well organized–the organizers, the volunteers, the routes, the maps, the route markings, the campgrounds, the food, and all of the fun things that the area had to offer while riding.  I also like the philosophy of enjoying each community we rode through and stayed in, and the understanding that this is our vacation.”

“The volunteers were very warm and helpful, making us feel instantly welcome. We do a tour every summer, and this was the best-organized tour yet. Directions, route markings, and anything else we needed to know were clearly conveyed….”

“This was my first time.  Very impressed with the organization.  All the volunteers did a wonderful job.  Really enjoyed.  Can’t say enough of how well of a ride BAM is.”

“Absolutely great!  The whole BAM team was exceedingly helpful and enthusiastic.  I appreciated how the team attended to every detail: rest stops, monitoring everyone’s progress, charging stations, a coffee truck, baggage handling, incredible food, a band, briefings, etc.  Again, I can’t think of anything I’d add.  Sign me up for next year!”

“I have done many tours, but this was my first ride in Minnesota.  I could not come up with one way to make things better.  It was a really well-run tour.  I really enjoyed the catered meals.”

“The routes, scenery, positive volunteers, food, entertainment and bike riders were cream of the crop!”

About BAM

BAM’s mission is to promote bicycle safety, Minnesota’s bike route network, fitness, tourism, and bicycling as a mode of transportation. BAM has offered its 4-day bicycle tours since 2006. BAM is now part of supporting the vital work that the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, does, strengthening the partnership that already exists while retaining the same Tour Director, planning team, and service providers as in the past.  Freewheel Bike is another one of our sponsors providing mechanical support on the ride.

– all part of the Brainerd Lakes Area – and Aitkin, a historic riverboat town.  This area is a premier vacation destination and outdoor paradise, boasting over 500 lakes and rivers, as well as beautiful parks and forests.  It offers exceptional opportunities for biking, golfing, fishing, boating, bird-watching, and water sports.  It is also among our favorite rides in the state.  Bicycling heaven!  With silky smooth, gently rolling roads, trails, numerous lakes, and vibrant communities, what’s not to like?
