Free Bikes 4 Kidz Giveaway Day, Needs Your Help

His first bike!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and Free Bike 4 Kidz (FB4K) of the Twin Cities, is still working on some of the 6,000 bikes donated this year for the Annual Bike Giveaway. On December 6th and 7th, FB4K will be putting a lot of smiles on kids faces as many of them will be receiving a bike to ride for the very first time. Over the next two weeks you can have fun and be a part of getting the remaining bikes ready, help distribute them or donate to help replenish the never ending need for parts and supplies.

Having fun cleaning up the bikes for December 6th.

If you have some time beforehand, up to December 5th, there is still a need to help, cleaning and wrenching on some of the last group of bikes in the warehouse. Come by yourself and meet some new friends while helping or bring your family or a group of friends/associates and help FB4K’s put more smiles on kids this Christmas.

Many local Twin City Bike shops come together for an evening of wrenching fun.

On Saturday, December 6th, the Giveaway begins and will be held at the FB4K’s Warehouse, in Northeast Minneapolis and then Sunday, December 7th’s the Giveaway moves to the Midtown Global Market, in South Minneapolis (map). This event is the culmination of all the work that has been done since October 11th, when Allina Health helped FB4K’s collect all the bikes.

Wrenching includes adjusting brakes, cables and checking tires.

The FB4K’s Warehouse location is at:  5736 Main St. NE, Minneapolis, 55432 (right off of University Ave. and 694). Warehouse/volunteer hours: M-Th 9-9, Fri/Sat 9-6 and Sun 12-6. All shifts are scheduled in 3-hour blocks, but they can be flexible to accommodate schedules.
