SUMMARY:Habitat 500 Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:Now entering its 25th year\, the Habitat 500 is a bicycle ride 
 (not a race) and fundraiser that covers 500 miles over the course of 7 day
 s. Each rider raises funds from family members\, friends\, businesses\, an
 d church/community groups and designates the Habitat for Humanity affiliat
 es they wish to support (both locally and around the world). This ride is 
 coordinated and hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota.\n\nThe ride h
 as three options: full week\, three-day\, and one-day. We limit participat
 ion to 135 multi-day riders and 200 one-day riders. Each full week rider i
 s required to raise a minimum of $1\,000\, but the average amount raised i
 s over $2\,710 per rider. 3-day riders must raise at least $700\, and 1-da
 y must riders raise at least $250.
