DESCRIPTION:The Boulder Junction Chamber of Commerce and the local cycling 
 community invite you to a Bike Swap and FREE Safety Rodeo on Saturday\, Ma
 y 23rd\, from 11 AM – 2 PM. These two separate events will be held at th
 e Boulder Junction Community Center. The aim is to raise funds and awarene
 ss for the trails in Boulder Junction\, a central and historic part of the
  paved 52-mile Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail system that connects five 
 communities in the Northern Highland American Legion State Forest. This is
  your chance to find good deals on bikes\, learn\, and meet others who are
  enthusiastic about cycling.\nBike Swap – Inside the Community Center\nS
 ale Hours: 11 AM – 2 PM.\n\nFor sellers: The swap is for both used and n
 ew bikes. Used bikes must be clean and in good working condition. Bring yo
 ur bike(s) to the Community Center on the morning of the event\, between 8
  and 10 AM\, for drop-off and to sign a release form. Sellers determine th
 e sale price of their bike(s)\, including the asking price and the lowest 
 price they will accept. Sellers are encouraged to visit Bicycle Blue Book 
 before setting their prices. Sellers should review\, print\, and complete 
 the Seller Agreement and Bike Intake Form\, and bring them with the bicycl
 e(s). Forms will be available on the day of as well. 20% of each sale’s 
 proceeds will be retained as commission to benefit the maintenance of the 
 Boulder Junction bike trails. Any bikes not sold must be picked up at 2 PM
 .\n\nFor buyers: The swap is for both used and new bikes. Used bikes will 
 be clean and in good working condition. Doors open at 11 AM. Cash or credi
 t accepted. Additional cycling gear will not be sold\, but a free gear tab
 le will be available. Coontail will be on-site with a preview of their bik
 e inventory for demonstration. Coffee and baked goods from the Boulder Jun
 ction Coffee Shop will be available for purchase.\nSafety Rodeo – Outsid
 e the Community Center – FREE\nRodeo: 1 – 2 PM\n\nThe rodeo is for age
 s 4 to adult. Children must be able to ride on their own. It will be fun a
 nd educational! Do you know how to pump your tires effectively? How about 
 the rules of the road? And where most accidents happen? Join us to find ou
 t.\nThe rodeo includes the following stations:\n\n-bike maintenance\n-pre-
 ride safety checks (e.g.\, helmet fitting\, brake checks)\n-balance skills
  and games\n-Specific safety skills training\, including: start and stop\,
  signals and scans\, obstacle avoidance\, driveway and mid-block exits\, t
 raffic signs and intersections\nBring your bicycle and helmet. Families ar
 e welcome!\nYou may register in advance by filling out the online form. Wa
 lk-in registrations are accepted at 12:30 PM. All rodeo participants must 
 sign a rodeo waiver form. Participants are encouraged to print and fill ou
 t the waiver and bring it to check-in\, but forms will also be available o
 n-site. Children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a
  safety waiver before participating. In the event of rain\, the rodeo will
  still be held outdoors\, under cover. Upon completion of the Safety Rodeo
 \, participants will receive a certificate that can be redeemed at the Ice
  Shanty for a free small soft serve\, at Boulder Jct. Brewing Co. for a fr
 ee kids' drink\, and at Aqualand Ale House for 20% off a kids' meal.\n\n
