DESCRIPTION:The Arlington Heights Bicycle Club is excited to host the Arlin
 gton 500 Recreational Bike Ride. A popular event in Lake Zurich\, Illinois
  for the past 40 years\, for 2024 the ride is set for Sunday\, June 2. Reg
 istration will open on February 1\, 2024\, click here.\nThe Arlington 500 
 Ride\nThe Arlington 500 is a recreational bike ride on scenic roads in Lak
 e County.  The Arlington Heights Bicycle Club (AHBC) has hosted this ride
  for over 40 years.  Hundreds of riders attend it\; see the testimonials 
 at the end of these notes.  \n\nFor 2024\, we moved the on-site registra
 tion and rest stop location to Lake Zurich High School based on feedback f
 rom 2023 riders. We will keep the hub-and-spoke configuration. The new loc
 ation provides access to all new routes with various terrain. In addition\
 , we will offer a wide variety of food choices.\n\nThis fall\, our members
  rode the new routes from Lake Zurich High School several times\, includin
 g on Sundays.  The cumulative routes are 19.5\, 40.7\, 65.5\, 87.0\, and

 of Lake Zurich and a beautiful park next to the lake.  Along the way\, pl
 an a free visit to Kuechmann Arboretum if you wish.   This ride includes

 round Bangs Lake in Wauconda and some nice long straight stretches as you

  the Village of Barrington with some rolling hills on Cuba Road.\n 	https

  continue Cuba Road\, pass by Grassy Lake\, and swing by Shores Golf Club.
