SUMMARY:25th Annual Gitchi-Gami Trail Association North Shore Bike Ride
DESCRIPTION:The 25th Annual Gitchi-Gami Trail Association North Shore Bike 
 Ride will take place on Saturday\, August 16\, 2025. The recreational ride
  will again offer 55-mile\, 34-mile\, and 28-mile route options\, as well 
 as an 8-mile family ride on the trail\, while the 55-mile distance also us
 es connecting roads.\nNorth Shore Bike Ride details\nStarting Point: Goose
 berry Falls State Park\, with a starting time of 9 to 10 a.m.\n\nParking f
 or the ride is located in a lot inside Gooseberry Falls State Park. Vehicl
 es will need an annual state park vehicle sticker or a daily vehicle pass.
  The Gitchi-Gami Trail Association (GGTA) will be provided a daily pass as
  part of the registration fee\, allowing entry to all state parks on that 
 day.\n\nRefreshments will be provided at rest stops and post-ride. Mechani
 cal\, emergency\, and sag support will be provided. All adult riders will 
 receive t-shirts\, and younger riders will receive water bottles. All ride
 rs must sign waivers and wear helmets.\nRide distances\n\n 	The 8-mile fam
 ily ride option follows the GGST (Gitchi-Gami State Trail) for 4 miles fro
 m Gooseberry to a rest stop at Twin Points wayside\, where there will be t
 reats and special events for families. The ride returns on the GGST to Goo
 seberry.\n 	The 28-mile ride option is entirely on the GGST\, from Goosebe
 rry through historic Split Rock Lighthouse State Park\, continuing to the 
 rest stop at the Beaver Bay Wayside\, and returning on the trail. Because 
 it is an “out-and-back” ride\, bikers can turn around at any time to r
 eturn to the starting point.\n 	The 34-mile ride option is on the trail\, 
 also! Following the GGST to the rest stop at Beaver Bay Wayside\, the trai
 l continues over the Beaver River Bridge on a separated trail. You’ll tu
 rn left up the hill on the segment of GGT along the West Road and continue
  on the trail to Silver Bay. From there\, you’ll turn around and retrace
  your path back to the rest stop at Beaver Bay. Refuel\, and then the rout
 e returns to Gooseberry on the trail.\n 	The 55-mile ride option follows t
 he GGST to Beaver Bay Wayside\, continues on the trail over the Beaver Riv
 er Bridge\, and then left onto the segment of trail alongside West Road. T
 hen\, continues to Silver Bay where you will make a loop north beginning b
 y turning left on Penn Avenue. Turning right onto Lax Lake Road\, you’ll
  bike to the intersection with Hwy 1\, and you’ll notice our newer rest 
 stop at the Lax Lake Road Boat Access. On your way back down the hill\, yo
 u will stay right to travel down Cty Rd 4 to return to the Beaver Bay Rest
  Stop\, and from there\, you’ll head back to Gooseberry on the trail. We
  featured this new route for the first time in 2023\, and our riders enjoy
 ed staying off of Hwy 1 and Hwy 61 road shoulders.\n\nTo Register\nRegistr

 rm at this link. The cost of the ride is $50 per person after August 4th. 
 We offer a $10 discount to members\, so if you are a member\, that cost is
  $40 after August 1st\, 2025. Kids ride free with a paid adult\, and those
