SUMMARY:10th Annual Tour de Pepin
DESCRIPTION:The Lake City Chamber Commerce will hold their 10th Annual Tour
  de Pepin bicycle tour of Lake Pepin. The tour’s start and completion is
  Lake City\, Minn. The tour course will take bicyclists on a 32-mile\, 50-
 mile\, 72-mile or 100-mile ride. Participants of the 32 and 50-mile rides 
 may also enjoy a paddleboat ride on Pearl of the Lake across Lake Pepin ba
 ck to Lake City.\n\nOrganizers plan to attract more than 1\,000 bicyclists
  this year!\n\nThe Tour de Pepin will mainly follow U.S. Highway 61 along 
 the Minnesota side of Lake Pepin and U.S. Highway 35 on the Wisconsin side
  with rest stops in Maple Springs\, Wabasha (MN) on to Wisconsin areas of 
 Chippewa River\, Pepin\, Stockholm\, Lake Pepin Overlook\, and Bay City\, 
 then heading back into Minnesota at Red Wing\, Goodhue\, Frontenac and Lak
 e City.\n\nThe course circles Lake Pepin\, a widening of the Mississippi R
 iver. The rolling roads on either side of the lake and the bluff which sur
 round the lake will offer bicyclist some of the most dramatic natural scen
 ery in the Upper Midwest.\n\nThis non-competitive rain-or-shine outing is 
 being planned to give bicyclists an enjoyable day out in a pleasant rural
