Kids of all ages can learn how to be a better cyclist at the Family Bike Safety Rodeo, Saturday, May 19, from 9 to 11 a.m,. at the Southwest Middle School parking lot, 1601 W. Front St., Albert Lea, Minn. This free event, for children and adults, will feature bike safety instructions, rules of the road, and bike handling skills. Free bike helmets, helmet fittings and bike inspections will also be available. Register to win a bicycle courtesy of Sam’s Club! This event is sponsored by Pioneering Healthier Communities (PHC), the National Vitality Center, the Freeborn County Medical Society, and the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN). Bring your bike and helmet or get a free helmet at the event if you don’t already have one and learn how to bike safely around Albert Lea, Freeborn County, or on that summer vacation in Minnesota this summer!
